Brief introduction of milky white glass electric melting furnace
Earlier, our company introduced some information about the construction of glass furnace. Today, we briefly introduced the situation of electric glass furnace, hoping to give you some help.
The electric glass melting furnace is a new technology developed internationally in the 20th century. Instead of traditional coal-fired kilns, glass products are melted by electric heating. Although glass is almost an insulator at low temperature, it is a good conductor in high-temperature molten state. When electrodes are inserted into the molten glass and heated in the molten glass by Joule effect of current, electric energy is converted into heat energy, and the conversion efficiency is as high as 90%.
The main advantages of electric glass melting furnace are as follows: the traditional flame melting furnace uses radiation heating, the glass raw materials are gradually melted from outside to inside, and the top temperature is high, which is easy to cause gas volatilization, and the volatilization rate of harmful gases is as high as 25% ~ 30%, while the electric melting furnace uses electrode heating, and the glass liquid is heated from inside, and the top temperature is close to room temperature, and the gas volatilization rate is lower than 3%.
Energy-saving situation of glass electric-assisted melting furnace: In the tank kiln directly heated by flame, the temperature of deep glass liquid can be increased and the output can be increased by adopting local high-efficiency direct electricity heating. The melting rate of foreign electric-assisted melting furnaces has reached more than 3.5t/m2d, which can not only improve the output, but also improve the quality of molten glass. Therefore, the development of electric-assisted melting furnace is a new direction of energy-saving development.
All-electric glass melting furnace: cold top can be used, and the melting rate can be increased from about 0.4 ~ 0.7 of flame kiln to about 1.5 ~ 2.0, which reduces energy consumption, improves product quality, is transparent in color and reduces cost.
Traditional coal-fired and gas-fired pool furnaces are heated by radiation, which requires strong heat preservation. High-temperature molten glass corrodes corundum bricks seriously, so it is necessary to build two or even more layers of corundum bricks. The thickness of corundum bricks at the bottom of the pool can reach several meters to prevent leakage caused by the erosion of molten glass. A large number of corundum bricks need to consume a lot of electricity. However, the electric glass melting furnace adopts electric heating method, which does not need strong heat preservation, and the glass melting can be completed only by semi-heat preservation on the wall of the furnace pool. There is a layer of corundum brick and clay brick at the bottom of the pool, with a total thickness of less than 0.5 meters. The service life of corundum brick is greatly improved by using semi-thermal insulation or non-thermal insulation. It not only saves the use of refractory materials, but also saves a lot of power consumption.
As a kind of glass furnace design service, compared with the traditional flame furnace, the advantages of electric furnace are obvious. With the development of science and technology, we should not only see the benefits of high efficiency, but also pay attention to energy conservation and environmental protection.
